WHAT IS A PAINTING WITH WOOL?
PAINTING WITH WOOL
Painting With Wool is the process of creating paintings using nontraditional materials such as wool to mimic traditional painting and drawing techniques. With this style, instead of using paint and a brush, students use wool fibers to create the effects of layering color, creating texture and depth.
The process of creating artwork with wool helps people to reduce stress and tension, find an inner balance, and reveal their hidden talents.

ABOUT
WOOLonWOOL Fiber Arts Studio was founded by Galina Moskovkina in 2015. Galina is a fiber artist, her infatuation with art began in her early childhood and she continued painting into her adult life when she discovered painting with wool. This monumental experience shaped the foundation for her style and has gained her international attention, selling commissioned work worldwide. Galina’s work is truly unique; layer by layer, she meticulously places multiple colors of wool fibers on fabric surfaces forming landscapes, floral scenes, and portraits. The fibers are then compressed under a glass surface, imitating the appearance of watercolors, oils, and charcoal paintings. Galina introduce painting with wool to the community and ignite the talents that resides within all of us.
